HYH & WAT’s Alignment

HYH & WAT’s

Some people come into your life for a reason. I believe Kru Phil Nurse and I were always meant to meet. Looking back, I feel we have always been aligned. I was simply fortunate enough to find him in this lifetime. Like me, Kru Phil Nurse has always led with gratitude, humility, and service. I’ve always wanted to help people and become the very best version of myself. What I didn’t realise at the time was that we are all connected, and I believe if you walk in gratitude, life brings the right people together when the time is right.

A LEGACY BUILT ON RESPECT

Kru Phil Nurse was born in the United Kingdom before taking a leap of faith and moving to New York City, where he opened the first and largest Muay Thai gym in New York City. Today, he is regarded as one of the world’s leading Muay Thai coaches. Throughout his career, Kru Phil Nurse has coached and mentored some of combat sport’s greatest athletes, including Jon Jones, Rashad Evans, Georges St-Pierre, Frankie Edgar, along with numerous world champions, professional fighters, celebrities, and people from all walks of life. Kru Phil Nurse has been inducted into the Hall of Fame for his dedication to the sport. What impresses me most isn’t who he has trained. It’s who he is. Despite everything he has achieved, he has remained humble. He never boasts. He simply wants the people around him to succeed. This is a trait we shared and one I deeply admired.

OUR FIRST CONVERSATION

Our journey began during a freezing February in New York City. Before travelling, I asked my London trainer at the time, Johnny Boon, where I should train. He smiled and said, “You need to meet Phil Nurse. You’ll get along.” I asked him why. He simply replied, “Because you’re both the same.” At the time, I didn’t fully understand what he meant. The moment I spoke to Kru Phil Nurse on the phone, I understood. He was welcoming. Positive. Kind. Genuine.

MEETING GREATNESS

When we finally met, we trained, talked, and shared ideas. Around that time, I had hypnotherapy with one of the best in the world, which helped me become more open and present. As we spoke, he told me about his beautiful wife and children. I watched his face light up with pure love, joy, and light. What struck me most was his energy. His eyes reflected the same blue as my gratitude colour. It was one of those moments where you simply know you are exactly where you’re meant to be. I realised I wasn’t just meeting an incredible coach. I was meeting an incredible human being.

SHARED VALUES

Although Kru Phil Nurse had already built one of the most respected Muay Thai gyms in New York City, there was no ego. Only humility. Only kindness. Only a genuine desire to help others. Those values perfectly reflected the foundation of my company, Hail Yes Helmets. What I found when liaising with Kru Phil Nurse was that we simply wanted to help each other. Without expectation. Without conditions. That mutual respect became the beginning of something much bigger. Our partnership. Today, HYH & WAT’s have joined as partners, united by the same vision: to help people, to improve safety, to build stronger communities, and to create something that genuinely makes a difference. We both believe in gratitude. We believe in kindness. We believe in leading with love. We believe in family. And we believe that when good people work together with the right intentions, incredible things can happen.

A PERSONAL THANK YOU

One of the greatest lessons I have learned throughout this journey is simple. Trust your path. Lead with kindness. Lead with love. Everything has a way of working out exactly as it is meant to. Kru Phil Nurse, thank you for trusting in the HYH & WAT’s alignment. Together, we are one family.
